An Eco-Friendly Process Turning Tree Waste Into Mulch

As a responsible member of the Whitestown community, we are committed to doing everything we can to protect the environment. We have found that we can best participate in such initiatives by decreasing the amount of waste we create when working with trees, bushes, and foliage.

When grinding trees and trees and stumps and clearing lots, we create a lot of byproducts and waste in the form of mulch and or wood chips. The mulch is very easy to integrate with the land, eventually helping to keep the ground moist and healthy. The larger byproducts are what we refer to as wood chips. It’s noteworthy that wood chips will eventually decompose over time into mulch if left in nature without handling.

In our travels, we have found that wood chips have value. They are commonly used in the manufacturing of products like paper and cork. They are also very popular among landscapers and homeowners who love to use them as compost.

At the end of every tree and stump removal or lot clearing job, we convert as much of the waste material as possible into mulch or wood chips. With trees and branches, this requires the use of a woodchipper. If anything else remains after processing, we ship it off to a designated landfill.

As for the mulch and wood chips, we like to recycle everything into bundles and distribute it to interested parties. If you are interested in getting a bundle or two, please give us a call. We’ll be glad to arrange to have something delivered to your location. Be sure to inquire about any other waste products that we have on hand that you can use for your landscaping needs.
