Once a tree has been removed by human hand or nature (storm damage), the only remnants of that tree will be the stump. Indeed, tree stumps can be a real eyesore on your property. The second option is tree grinding. Stump grinding is more affordable and pragmatic. It involves the use of a sophisticated machine called a “stump grinder.” The stump grinder acts to wear down the stump from top-to-bottom all the way to ground level. The stump grinder is a difficult machine to handle with precision. Due to the expertise required to handle this kind of machinery and the grinding process, it’s something that is best left in the hands of a tree service professional who has the right training and plenty of experience. Generally, the process will only take 1-2 hours, depending on the size of the stump.
